Zoeva Smoky Palette

Since recently trying out a Zoeva pencil brush and being very impressed I have been really wanting to try more from Zoeva. I decided to invest in the Zoeva Complete Eye Brush set and while I was browsing  I saw the Zoeva Smoky palette and instantly fell in love with the beautiful shadows and unique colour combination that the palette has to offer.

Here are the swatches from the Smoky palette:
Top Row L-R: Relieve The Moon, Sleep To Dream, Soul Searching, Sweet Smell, Dark Edge.
Bottom Row L-R: Dust & Memories, Smoky Wishes, Elegant Chaos, Ashes Awake, Real Light.

My thoughts on the palette-
For £15.50 I think this palette is seriously good value. Most of the shadows in the palette have good pigmentation and blend really nicely. The black shade 'Real Light' especially is very nice and has a velvet texture.
The darker colours all tend to look the same when applied but I suppose that is the point of a smoky palette. The colour I was most excited about 'Dark Edge' which is the metallic olive green is quite a disappointment. It loses it's green hue and ends up looking very muddy on the eyes.
I love the range of cool to very warm mauve tones in this palette and how the majority of the shades are matte is a nice change from most palettes I own. I really love the shade names and the packaging design too, I think Zoeva did a great job making this palette look very appealing.
I've been using the palette for a few weeks now and have managed to create many different looks with the shadows from subtle natural looks to very dramatic gothic looks.

Pretty Zombie Cosmetics.

Liquid to matte lipsticks have been my latest makeup obsession over the past couple of months and I have been trying out a few different brands and growing my collection. Pretty Zombie Cosmetics is a cruelty-free vegan indie brand offering an array of beautiful and unique coloured liquid lipsticks and I decided to purchase the three colours I liked best in the range: Purple Poison3 Witches and Dahlia.

The lipsticks are $12 each which I think is a very good price compared to some other liquid lipsticks.
There are currently no UK stockists for PZC so I ordered directly from their site.

Here are some photos of how they look on my lips:
Purple Poison is a vibrant orchid.
3 Witches is a true indigo purple.
Dahlia is the perfect dark vampy red with no berry tones, the exact shade I have been searching for!

The lipsticks are very comfortable to wear and relatively easy to apply. They don't need a liner in my opinion if you take care whilst applying the product.

I would highly recommend these gorgeous lipsticks. They are not smudge proof but they don't claim to be. I much prefer wearing liquid to regular lipsticks and I can't wait to get hold of more.

Yennefer of Vengerberg.

Since the release of the Witcher 3 a month ago I have been permanently attached to my PS4. Never have I played a game so enthralling at least in a very long time. I instantly fell in love with one of the three main ladies on the game Yennefer, who is a raven-haired sorceress and I love her image and especially her makeup which is very similar to my own. I decided it would be fun to re-create her look and play dress-up.
